Rottnest Island

On Saturday I went to Rottnest Island. I have not made many trips there in my life which is quite sad considering it only takes at least a thirty minute ferry trip to get there. Its such a beautiful place with clean beaches and clear waters. Theres so much to explore, and if you were staying for a holiday, bike hire is available which would allow leisurely rides around the island. Rottnest has its own special marsupial, called the Quokka. They are so adorable, and quite tame understandably as there are so many visiters every year.

I'm not too confident with posing in photos yet, thats why I'm facing downwards. I didnt bring my bathers that day, but even just paddling on the shore was wonderful. My little boater hat even went flying along the winds at one point, it would have made a great picture but of course I never captured the moment. Good thing it dried quickly, it landed in the water and for a moment I was afraid it might float away.

  1. I know what you mean about not being confident in photos yet. I automatically look down and off to the side and hide behind my mop of hair. I love your hat and dress, though, and it looks like such a dream on that island!

  2. What beautiful photos, it looks like a little spot of paradise. Love your boater, I find it hard to do photos too, I usually end up with a rather gormless expression on my face! xx

  3. Lovely photographs, dear. I too, understand about the photo situation - On my old blog (a blog I had before this one), I used to post photographs of myself but found it somewhat too public for my liking.. though I'd like to start to get back into it.. when time permits, I suppose. I'm glad you had a lovely time, though :) xxx
