They had lights inside their eyes

Jacket: market stall| Blouse: Dotti| Skirt: City Beach
I have been eager to share a few things. One is the gorgeous leopard print jacket that I snagged for $4 at the Rotary markets (where else?). Another is the beauties that I picked up this morning at the second hand bookshop and newsagent which I plan to indulge in now that exams are done and dusted. I have only been looking absolutely everywhere for Lula magazine since it came out, so I was overjoyed when I found it.

I also wanted to share the song 'Dead Hearts' by Stars. I cannot stop referring to it, and it barely ever leaves my thoughts. Whenever I listen to it, I feel as if it stands as a reminder to hold on to my dreams and to never let them die. They're what make everything worthwhile.

(And they say eyes are windows to the soul. Don't ever let the light fade.)

xx Carina

  1. Your photos are so romantic and nostalgic, sort of like they were captured in another era. I adore the jacket and the sweet books.

  2. I absolutely love your outfit! I'm not sure where you live but there's a store in Sydney that sells Lula. Haven't got the chance to see the price though! I'm afraid I'll be disappointed.

    It's a lovely song indeed.

    1. Thank you Isabella! Haha I know all too well what that feels like...just think this time next week exams will all be over! (everyone told me that, and I thought at the time how silly, but really it does finish faster than you would think)

It's my pleasure! I really love your blog

  5. Oh, how I missed your posts Carina! These pictures are as wonderful and dreamy as ever. That jacket looks really lovely paired with the dotti blouse and skirt. What camera did you use? I love the hazy effect, especially on the last picture.

I've been dying to get my hands on the latest Lula too! The cover was all it took to get me obsessed :)
I'm definitely going to check out that song... I've been needing to add to my playlist.
