The weather in Perth these past few days have been rather peculiar. It was only Monday that we were experiencing unbearable heat (it is summer after all), only to have thunderstorms and rain the day after. Today however, was lovely and fine, and so I ventured to a wonderful rose heritage garden and cafe secluded in the hills for devonshire tea and a wonder in the gardens. Going there is always like a dream; I imagine it as a perfect setting for favorite childhood stories such as the tales by Beatrix Potter or the Cottingley Fairies legend. The place certainly has an 'English cottage' aura about it, and located on a hill above the cafe is also a more French inspired garden.
The outfit I'm wearing was one of my latest market buys. I have always adored polka dots, and this play suit from River Island was a bargain at $10!
Oh what a delightful play suit, and such a bargain too! You seem to find such delightful places for tea :) And I was the same, I didn't use to like leopard print at all! xxx

Aww, what a lovely dress! The weather in Perth has been quite all over the place! I'm not looking forward to summer, that's for sure. It's great catching up on your blog :) Hopefully I'll find the time soon to do another post too! xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling little playsuit! Such a lucky find.
ReplyDeleteA day in a cottage garden sounds so perfect. I'm desperate for snow but the idea of being surrounded by warmth and blooming flowers would be lovely too; how I wish I could have both at whatever moment I please!
Everything about this is perfect. How I long for countryside gardens such as this, and cottages, and Beatrix Potter, and polka-dot jumpers. It is winter here, cold, white, diamonds, and lights. Today I am putting up Christmas decorations and playing in the snow with S. and of course there is no need to mention the hot chocolate afterwards. I hope all of your days are as perfect as the one you've mentioned here dear swan.
