On Friday night I went to the musical Wicked which I had been waiting so long to see! Such an occasion is always special for me, as I was able to dress up in this velvet dress, wear elegant perfume and some new high heels (which by the end of the evening left my poor feet quite sore!) I went to a lovely restaurant and sipped on berry mocktail, ate pumpkin soup, feta and fennel tart with toasted pecan nuts and a torrone ice cream with a toffee center. The highlight was of course Wicked, it was the most fabulous musical I have seen yet! Beautiful costumes swishing, pitch perfect singing, fairy lights and a happily ever after.
P.S I just finished my charcoal illustration of a kitten, I'm so proud of my achievement
This looks excellent!!

Oh, Wicked just came to town here but unfortunately I wasn't able to scrounge up the pennies to get myself a ticket. I bought the book instead and hopefully the next time it comes around I shall be a bit more fortunate. Lovely dress and shoes; and of course, you're endlessly talented!

Oh that velvet dress of yours is an absolute dream, my dear. Sometimes the best part of getting to go places like the theatre is the dressing up! And I share your sentiment about heels--they always make my feet dreadfully sore but I try to put up with it because I like the looks of them. (I just need to wear them more often, I think, so my feet can get used to them.)
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get a chance to see another musical, I would recommend with all my heart that you see Spring Awakening. It doesn't have the happy ending that Wicked has, but it is so perfect and heartbreaking and everything, everything that is True.
Your kitten is adorable. You have a talent. <3
yours,
Rachel
Those shoes are such beauties! <3 Love!
